I fell in love with Spring Awakening the first time I heard it. Back then, I was entering my freshman year at a Catholic high school and could deeply relate to the angst filled characters. I remember checking out the cast album from the local library in secret, nervous that my parents would find out I was listening to this show. I kept Spring Awakening close to me during my growth as an artist and was beyond enthused to direct this show at Grinnell College with the help of an incredible cast and crew.
