Prairie Meanders was a site-specific installation in the six-foot tall prairies of the Conard Environmental Research Area in Grinnell, IA that investigated global ecology on a local, human-sized scale. Participants would wander through two large, maze-like meanders while uncovering small installations about the dangers of climate change. Both meanders were created to represent global ocean and wind currents. The piece remained open at CERA for over three months and drew hundreds of visitors.
